Wild Bird Seed
Black Oil Sunflower Seed >
By far the most popular all purpose seed. The high oil content makes it an ideal winter feed, desired by both perching and ground feeders. A favorite of the cardinal, chickadee, titmouse, sparrow, woodpecker, and most finches
Medium Black Stripe Sunflower Seed >
Very similar to Black Oil Seed, but slightly larger to attract larger birds, including blue jays, doves and evening grosbeaks
Sunflower Hearts or Hulled Sunflower Seeds >
The best of all bird seed. A special treat for both bird and bird lover, as there are no shells to crack or sweep from your deck or patio.
Thistle Seed >
This small black seed is perfect for attracting goldfinches, house and purple finches, chickadees, Pine Siskins, and Redpolls. An upside down thistle feeder will limit the access of house finches which tend to overpopulate other thistle feeders.
Peanuts >
Whole or hearts, peanuts make a wonderful menu choice for chickadee, titmouse, sparrow, starling, and grackle. Peanut hearts are an important diet addition to provide many of the proteins and calories missing from most grains. Whole peanuts will attract titmice, jays, woodpeckers and squirrels.
Corn Types >
Cracked and whole corn is terrific for ground feeders like doves, sparrows and juncos. Do not be surprised to see a deer or two at the corn pile, too. Dried corn-on-the-cob makes an entertaining food for squirrels and an occasional jay.
